Campaign fundraising serves as a strong correlative predictor of election success, though its direct causal impact varies by candidate status and race type. Historically, candidates who raise and spend the most money win a large majority of races. For example, over 90% of well-funded House candidates who outspend their opponents secure victory. early fundraising acts as a crucial signal of candidate strength. Donors, media, and party leaders coordinate around well-funded campaigns.

Hayakawa said the campaign will continue its voter outreach as the election enters its final weeks.

“This is not the time for us to become complacent,” Hayakawa said. “As voters prepare to receive their vote-by-mail ballots, our focus is on continuing to communicate with residents and giving volunteers opportunities to participate in the campaign.”

The campaign’s next Day of Action will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Rowland Heights Park. Volunteer orientation and training will run from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m., followed by canvassing from 10:00 a.m. to noon and a volunteer lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m.
